Spots Recruiting USA and This Girl Kicks Announces Partnership.

We are proud to announce that we have teamed up This Girl Kicks for a brand-new official partnership.

This Girl Kicks are doing amazing things within the women’s and girls game and we are very excited to be partnering with them moving forward. They began in 2016 and have continued to offer opportunities for female players both here in the UK and abroad.

SRUSA Head of Women’s Soccer, Jon Maloney had this to say about the partnership.

‘Having met Gary (Barrell) at St Georges Park, I quickly realised the drive and passion that we both share for developing the women’s and girls game here in UK. This Girl Kicks has a great reputation within the female game, and we are excited to be able to help their players through the process of becoming student-athletes in America. Alongside this, they run a number of great tours throughout Europe and America which our players will be able to take advantage of as part of this partnership. Both Gary and I share a desire to bring opportunities to female footballers and I can’t wait to see this partnership develop.’

Gary Barrell, Head Coach of This Girl Kicks commented on the future partnership.

‘I knew of Jon thanks to the great work that he had carried out developing players at Harrogate Town and seeing them climb through the women's football pyramid in addition to seeing him support Mollie Rouse who I spent some time supporting with her S&C prior to her heading out to the University of Louisville. What came across to me straight away with Jon is that he is genuinely passionate about the female game and wants the best for those that he works with.

We share the same values and are both keen to grow opportunities for those that we work with. It is a very exciting partnership opportunity to enable those in our program at U15, U17 and U19 level to have additional support and exposure in terms of looking to head across to the USA to study as well as giving the girls involved in SRUSA the opportunity to be involved in our age group tours and National Football Youth League U19 program.’

If you are interested in finding out more information about the student-athlete route to America or the specific tours that are run by This Girl Kicks, you can contact both Jon and Gary directly on the email addresses below.
