Here's a little bit about the Boys ECNL Director, Jordan Phillips, who is also an assistant coach at NCAA D1 side, UNCW;
Jordan Phillips has been a member of the Wilmington Hammerheads coaching staff for the past 13 years. During this time, the Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Football Club has doubled in size, created crucial partnerships with the local YMCA and the EDGE training program, Youth National team call ups, MLS trials and dozens of college commitments. Wilmington Hammerheads have also joined the ECNL (Elite Clubs National League), a nationally recognized premiere youth soccer league that has significantly raised the quality and standards throughout the entire club. Throughout these changes Phillips has been a presence on and off the field, working his way up the coaching ladder. Phillips started as a staff coach and has spent time in every aspect of youth development within the club.Phillips enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the UNCW Mens Soccer program. Phillips overseas all aspects of opponent analysis and assists with training on a daily basis. Phillips helped lead UNCW to a 2019 CAA Regular Season Championship with an undefeated 7-0-1 conference record.
UNCW Head Coach, Aidan Heaney echoes many thoughts about Phillips. “Jordan has been a welcomed addition to our UNCW staff and provided scouting reports on upcoming opponents, which was vital when we play so many games in quick succession. His passion for the sport is contagious and he is very driven to improve his craft and continue to grow as a coach.
We look forward to helping their players and sharing their success stories in the future.
